During the beginning of 2018, the IFSA UBC team held a school-wide writing challenege called ‘Future of Our Forests’. This writing challenge was an open call for all students at UBC to write a short, 700 to 1000 word summary of their current research and/or current ideas of problems and solutions related to sustainability and the world’s forests. After many wonderful submissions were judged, three entries were chosen as winners of the writing challenge. The winners were Erin Fitz, Ricardo Pelai and Matthew Todd who all received a $150 gift card to the UBC Bookstore, received a publication of their writing in the IFSA Tree News and were invited to attend a public appreciation event. Congratulations to the winners!
