Dr. Terry Sunderland will delve into the fascinating connections between forests, trees, nutrition, and health, drawing from a decade of extensive research in this field. He will explore the direct contribution of forest foods to rural diets and shed light on how forests and trees play a pivotal role in sustaining agricultural production by providing a wide array of ecosystem services. He will also provide insights into the often underestimated practice of managing forests for food production, especially in multi-functional tropical landscapes. Furthermore, he will discuss the impact of a changing climate on our global food systems and the strategies in place to ensure a future of “food for all.”
