On Saturday, October 14th, the IFSA UBC team and members dedicated an entire afternoon to learn about proper mushroom identification and mushroom foraging through the guidance of Swallow Tail Tours. Swallow Tail Tours provided a highly informative tour of the different types of mushrooms that can be found in the Lower Seymour/Lynn Valley forest region and the proper methods of identification. After the tour, Swallow Tail Tours provided the IFSA UBC team and members with a delicious lunch that was prepared by them, incorporating their own hand-picked mushrooms. That concluded the chilly but incredibly educating afternoon!
