Dear Members of IFSA-UBC,
We are thrilled to announce the return of the International Forestry Students’ Association at the University of British Columbia (IFSA-UBC) this year. With a renewed commitment to fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth, we are excited to rekindle the IFSA-UBC spirit within the UBC Forestry family. As we embark on this new journey with the reactivation, I want to take a moment to share my excitement and vision for the future.

IFSA-UBC has always been a space where these ideals come to life, where ideas are nurtured, and where friendships are forged that last a lifetime.
Our decision to bring IFSA-UBC back to life was motivated by a deep sense of responsibility—to ourselves, to our peers, and to the future generations. The challenges we face today, from climate change to resource management, demand an active engagement from us as students who will shape the tomorrow. IFSA-UBC is our platform to learn, collaborate, and drive positive change.

We have a diverse range of events and activities planned, all aimed at enriching your academic journey, expanding your horizons, and fostering a sense of belonging. Our journey begins with the upcoming student presentation showcase and pizza night on September 21st. The best presentation will even get to represent IFSA-UBC at our inaugural academic seminar.
