On October 2nd and 3rd, 2023, International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA)-UBC Chapter co-hosted the Guided Forest Therapy Walk amidst the serene Pacific Spirit Regional Park, was nothing short of a refreshing journey. Guided by the experienced Alex Gesse from Forest Bathing & Forest Therapy Training (FTHub) and Yawei Wei of the Faculty of Forestry at UBC, participants engaged in various nature connection activities, including meditation with expert guidance and relaxation exercises.

International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA)-UBC Chapter’s Student Presentation Night, held on September 21st, 2023, at the UBC Forest Sciences Centre, was a resounding success. With a dynamic lineup of presentations covering diverse topics such as International Forestry, Climate Change and Its Implications, Sustainable Forestry Practices, International Intern or Volunteer Experiences, and an Introduction to Forestry in participants’ Hometown or Country, the evening was an opportunity to showcase the hard work and passion for research that our participants brought to the forefront.
